About

Danny Torrance is a talented young writer and the most popular boy at Castle Rock High. But when he meets Carrie White, a mysterious redhead with a history of heartbreak and telekinesis, he learns that sometimes the most terrifying thing in Maine…is love.

Will everybody laugh at them? Will Danny succumb to the deadly charms of Dolores, his “Number One Fan?” Will he be murdered by his Dad? And how does that clown feel about all this? One thing’s for sure: in some schools, dead is better!

“Stephen King High School: The Musical” is an unauthorized parody conceived and composed by Jamie King and Sam Rosenberg with book and lyrics by Jamie King. It was developed by NYC-based comedy group OMFG, and premiered at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre in 2009. It has played at the Bleecker Street Theatre, The Ace of Clubs, the BoCoCa Arts Festival, and the 2010 Los Angeles Comedy Festival.

We’d love to see this performed up in Bangor, Maine!

That would be awesome! Bangor is like our Broadway.

"...the stunning and clever Stephen King's High School Musical...the wit of the writing was on the same level as that of the Urinetown folks. The show also featured some great performers...that had the audience nearly falling out of their seats with laughter."
